The sports day was held 31TH October 2008 at Kenya School of Monetary Studies and attended by a representative of the Ministry of Sports, Chief Executives of Member Companies, and participants. Twelve member companies and AKI participated.
Objective of the Sports Day
The purpose of this sports day was to give member companies an opportunity to interact and participate in selected sporting activities. The idea of organizing a sports day was conceived two years ago but as it requires finances and members involvement, we only managed to incorporate it in this year's calendar of events.
Events
There were four major events namely, football, athletics, tag of war and sack race. It was been very interesting for those who had opportunity to participate in the build â€"up matches. Athletics comprised individual and team events of short races. Tag of war comprised combined team of five ladies and five gentlemen.
